VOL-434: Homework Help

Position Responsibilities

Volunteers will tutor students, grades 1st - 8th grades, with general studies for basic homework help. No specific subject expertise is needed. The Okemos community is diverse with many families speaking English as a second language. Many times the tutor will help more than one child from the same family.

Tutors will work in a group setting with students and need to be able to focus on more than one student at a time. We do not promote homework help as a private tutor session.

Experience working with children is helpful, but patience and a sense of humor is most important.
