ACEL-204: Allen Farmers Market Volunteer
Description
GENERAL OVERVIEW The Allen Farmers Market is a project of Allen Neighborhood Center (ANC). Since 2004, the market has served as a community hub where neighbors can find locally grown and produced foods, ready-to-eat dinner options, and a convivial atmosphere in which to socialize and build community. The market is held every Wednesday, year-round at ANC from 2:30 – 6:30pm, and the right candidate must have Wednesday availability.
Position Responsibilities
Volunteers will help us with a variety of tasks, including setting up the market, talking with the neighbors who come to shop at the Farmers Market, and varying tasks to make the market a better experience for everyone!
Qualifications and Skills
A willingness to support Eastside neighbors, good customer service abilities, and communication skills. Must have Wednesday availability.
